We have been using the Ag Plus Consultancy program since April 2008 on our farm at Mundubbera. We grow 200 hectares of citrus, consisting mainly of mandarins and a few lemons.
Tim came out to see me in early 2008 and we decided to do half the farm using the Ag Plus program. In 2010 due to improved fruit quality and consistent yields in the Ag Plus treated area, we moved the whole farm over to the program. Our brand QT citrus is recognized around the world for its fruit quality, taste & shelf life.
Ag-Plus supplies us with a comprehensive tailored program based on our yearly soil and leaf tests. We do farm walks on a monthly basis and make changes where necessary. We noticed a big improvement in tree health and are very happy with our fruit quality and consistent yields year in and year out.

We have been using the Ag-Plus program since February 2016 on our farm in Bundaberg where we currently grow Lychee, Avocado & Macadamia. Tim came out to see me regarding my feedback on the Multikraft product. Tim went through the programs that he had developed and how we could incorporate them into our farming operation. Since then, I decided to get Ag Plus to do our programs. We find the programs are great and give us the inputs that need to be done every month which we tick off as we go through.
Along with the MultiKraft products, Ag Plus gives us guidance on compost, nutrition and pesticides, and their timing to improve our soil & tree health. We don’t suffer from biennial bearing and put this down to our soil & tree health We are very happy with the yield, taste, shelf-life, and quality on all our crops. We have tremendous feedback from supermarkets & export market.

We have been using the Ag Plus Consultancy program since May 2014 on our Bundaberg farm, which currently has over 127,000 macadamia trees. Tim came out to see me, Dave & my father in April 2014 to discuss some programs that were of interest. After our conversation, we decided to engage Ag-Plus to do half the farm for the coming season. At that time, our oldest trees were 8 years old. We were determined to have high yields and good quality while improving soil & tree health. Due to the improved tree health and yield on the Ag-Plus program, we changed over fully in the 2016 season. With the guidance of Ag-Plus, we moved into a full biological system in 2016. We use Multikraft probiotics, fermented compost, carbon-based fertilizers along with other soil health products. During this time we have noticed a big improvement in tree and soil health. Trees that were weak or had symptoms of root rot disease have now recovered.
Ag-Plus supplies us with a comprehensive tailored made program every year based on our soil and leaf tests. With our cultural practices and the help of Ag Plus Consultancy, we truly exceed industry averages on quality and yield every year. Our yields are consistent on the Ag Plus program and do not suffer from biennial bearing.
Tim and the staff at Ag Plus offer a service that really takes the pressure off us in making sure things are ordered and turn-up on time. This makes it one less thing to think about as they know exactly what we require based on the programs set early in the season. They can be contacted at any time, day or night, and always have our business at heart.
My brother Richard and I grew dryland peanuts in red loam soil at Marule, between Childers and Gin Gin Queensland. In the 2022 season we had high rainfall and high humidity through the growing season. I sprayed a fungicide, Amistar on the 04-05-22 as there was rain forecast and was almost ready to be dug. The plants were drought stressed and rust was beginning to show in patches across the block. 4 days after I sprayed the rain started falling and received 140mm over 7 days. The rust had spread throughout the whole block and had defoliated nearly all the crop. I then did a foliar application of Micro-Life @ 5 litres per hectare along with some MKP, Urea & trace elements on the 16-05-22 in small amounts. There was another week that followed soon after of light rain. Within a week after the Micro-Life fertiliser application the plants started to grow new leaves and shoots. I then done a second spray of Micro-Life @ 5L/Ha on the 26-05-22 and the few patches within the block that did not fully defoliate had noticeably less amount of rust on the underside of the leaves. I believe that the Micro-Life saved this block, as mentioned above, and if I sprayed a couple of applications prior to the 140mm of rain the rust would not have been a significant problem and manageable. I should have started spraying earlier and continued monthly and that would immensely helped control the rust.
Prior to us selling the farm we also used to grow sugar cane. In the past I applied Micro-Life @ 20L/Ha to our sugarcane crop at planting thru a billet planter. We also found the root development and strike to be better. We also done a trial one year to see if it would break down the cane stool quicker before going into our next peanut crop. We applied 25L/Ha to the trash blanket and disced in and let it sit in early July. There was very little trash left when we planted the peanuts in late November. At digging time in April, we found little cane stool left and what was left was hollowed out with just the outer skin remaining.
In the Sugar Cane we have always had a soldier fly problem in our high clay soils. I decided to do a trial with the Micro-Life with advice from Tim ODea. It was applied at 50L/Ha on its own to 8/Ha of second ratoon KQ 225 which was very gappy with fly damage. I kept thinking it should have been ploughed out while applying it. Come harvest time there was much less gaps in the crop and the yield was much better than the previous year. We kept the block in for another 2 seasons because of the unexpected, better resu Its. We then decided to purchase a Gessner stool splitter and fitted a liquid injection system for the application of the micro-life. We began then using Micro-Life at 50L/Ha on a regular basis on the ratoons with the addition of liquid fish at IOL/Ha as a food source.
I have used quite a few biological products over the years, and this is the only that has actually worked. We also had increase in yields which was a bonus.
